The Care of the 110 h.p. Le Rhone Engine, 9-cylinder Type J
The Le Rhone was a nine-cylinder, air-cooled rotary radial displacing 15.07 liters.
It was first produced in 1915 and widely used during World War I. Although of French design, Le Rhones were built
in France, England, Italy and the United States. It was even copied by Germany. The 110 hp Le Rhone engine powered the Avro 504, Nieuport 17, Sopwith Camel and Bristol M.1C, among others. |
